Rupert Murdoch is engaged again

Rupert Murdoch is set to tie the knot for the fifth time. The 92-year-old media mogul is engaged to Elena Zhukova, a retired molecular biologist. The two began dating in the summer and met through Murdoch's third wife, Wendi Deng, according to the Daily Mail.

Murdoch's romantic history includes several high-profile marriages and engagements. His most recent marriage to actress and model Jerry Hall ended in divorce in 2022 after a six-year union. Last year, he was also briefly engaged to former San Francisco police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith. The pair called off the engagement weeks later.

Murdoch’s engagement to Zhukova comes shortly after his resignation as chairman of Fox and News Corp, ending a remarkable seven-decade career at the forefront of a vast media empire. The location for the wedding, his vineyard and estate in California, was also where he had initial discussions with Disney CEO Bob Iger that led to the $71 billion sale of 21st Century Fox to Disney in 2019.
